Nfs most wanted 2012 drift8/23/2023 I still have a problem with Forza steering. But it’s much easier in cars with more suspension travel, because it compensates for the lower travel of the brake trigger compared to a brake pedal. FWD hatchbacks are incredibly fun with trail braking. Maybe you are talking about anything else. It’s not impossible but it’s not easy like in ACC for instance. I use trail braking in many games but it’s very hard in Forza because of controller steering. Like Bree said, drifting is easy because of helper, can’t be much easier.īraking is strange in every Forza but I am not sure if Bree has it on a wheel but it’s controller thing for sure. As I said, it doesn’t work like it should in the game, ACC does it far better, but it’s still true in a vague sense.Įdit: also, I should have mentioned, cars differ in how good they are at drifting, and again the build and tune make a difference. So if you want 50% steering ability you need to only be using 50% of your braking ability. You can use it all for steering, or you can use it all for braking, or you can trade them off against each other, but the total grip available is fixed. You have an amount of grip that the front tyres can provide. Also, it is expected that you need to reduce braking when you want to steer. Note that the brake balance on the tuning screen is reversed compared to how it should be, you want a setting above 50% to increase the ability to steer while braking. If you upgrade to race brakes you can adjust the brake balance to allow the car to steer better while braking. A lot of what you describe, though, can be addressed to some extent with the build and tune of the car. ![]() Assetto Corsa Competizione does a much better job of making the ability to steer relate to the strength of braking in a progressive manner. ![]() If you’re used to a different game, it will take some time to adapt.īraking, on the other hand, I agree with you is pretty bad. ![]() The visuals in this game are spectacular though!!! Does anyone else notice this and how can I stop the car from angling too much? By the way, I’m using a game controller (Logitech F310) and I use the D-pad buttons not the stick (never had a problem with this controller set up before).Īlso, does anyone else notice it’s almost like brakes don’t work in this game if you apply them while cornering? Sure, you should brake before entering a corner but I’ve noticed my brakes are incredible when stopping in a straight line but if I’m doing any kind of steering input it’s like there are no brakes at all and the car just keeps plowing along through bushes/trees etc. I’m used to Need for Speed and while I guess Forza may be more “realistic”, this game does not respond to mid-drift counter steer AT ALL. When I drift, the car angles way too much and does not maintain angle from counter-steer input. I hate to be that guy, coming over from another game platform and criticizing this one, but this is pretty annoying to me.įirst of all, this game does not respond to mid-drift counter-steer at all.
